After a few long months of a combination of procrastination and distraction, I am slowly putting together clips I took during my travel. Originally, I decided on a maximum 6 minutes long video compilation of (almost) all the footage I took in Japan. However, after working on 2 separate draft projects, I figured it is impossible to cramp everything into a less than 5 or even 10 minutes video. I could be more selective with the clips, but at the same time, I wanted it to feel raw, like a travel-diary as well.
So, here is Tokyo - where I spent a few days too short to fully explore and admire this crazy, bustling city. Nevertheless, what I did experience from it was enough to understand the general functions and lifestyle of this city. Walking across the famous Shibuya intersection felt unreal, kind of like a post-christmas morning sensation when I would ask myself "Did Christmas really just happen?". It was sort of rushed when I did it, and there weren't too many people crossing to cause me a panic attack, so I was a tad bit underwhelmed by my experience of it. Another awkward memory of Shibuya is of me asking a retail staff where the men's clothing section was, only to be told that Shibuya is (mostly) a women's shopping area. Painfully embarrassing. Clearly, I do not know a lot about Tokyo.
Anyway, I don't know why I'm writing about Shibuya so much when I do not even have a footage of it. I guess, I just felt like mentioning.
